Also, today was my 10 week ultrasound. After what seemed like an excruciating long and stressful wait sitting on doctor's table, I was so relieved! The baby is doing great and is right on target. We actually got to see "her" kicking her little legs and moving around. I have never felt so relieved in my whole entire life! I will get to start weaning off all of my progesterone in 10 days, so I can't wait for that! I might actually seem like a normal person after that. The doctor said that at this point I should just consider myself just a normal pregnant girl (just with much more monitoring and needles!)! He also said that they have figured out the perfect cocktail for me if we would like to have more children. I think I'll pass!

Porcella, Party of Four??
This has been a very exciting week in the Porcella household! First, our littlest member started PreK 5 at First Baptist Concord. Brace yourselves because the shocker is that he did not cry! When he heard me telling his MiMi that he didn't cry, he promptly said "Mom, why would I cry? It's just boring old school!" My, how the times have changed! My baby is turning into a big boy and I'm pretty sure he weighs just as much as me....

Oops!
Then they decided to turn the torture up a notch! This Wednesday, they call and tell me they received more of my test results back and true to form, there is something else wrong with me! I have a blood clotting disorder, which basically means I develop a clot that cuts off the blood flow to the placenta and the cord, thus ending my pregnancies. But not to worry, they have a solution to the problem: a baby aspirin a day, another folic acid supplement, and a SHOT everyday! But not a shot administered in the comforts of a doctor's office and administered by a healthcare professional--one that I have to do. I immediately protested and handed the job over to James! And here's the kicker--I have to have a shot everyday until the baby is delivered.
The first shot completely freaked me out, I will not lie. I was crying and shaking and saying we are not doing this! But thankfully, James was calm and said "I'm just going to do it." And he did and it hurt! The second time was not as bad because I knew what was gonna happen and I knew that James would not hesitate and have to start over. And we found a better spot with more fat. Even though James says I better be nice to him all the time since he will be giving me 210 more shots, I still think he deserves the Husband of the Year award!!!
Yesterday, I had another ultrasound and everything is still going great for the seven week mark. We were able to see the heartbeat and it made me relax just a little. However, this is how far I made it last time. We heard the heartbeat and then next week, there was nothing. If I can just make past 8 weeks, it will make me feel so much better! I wish I could just be a normal girl with a normal pregnancy. The feeling that it could be over at anytime is so stressful. Any pain I feel freaks me out. It also makes it hard to be too excited because it just hurts that much more to have it end. So everyone please pray that little PattyFaye makes it! (this will not be the baby's name btw, Macy!)

Human Pin-Cushion
As many of you know, James and I have been on a crazy journey to have another baby. After this last miscarriage, I was referred to a secondary infertility specialist, where I have become a human pin-cushion. James was VERY excited about his part (lol), but thankfully, I seem to be the only problem so he was not needed! It seems like every time I go, they find some new problem with me. For those of you who have wondered why I am so stinkin' skinny (which is probably everyone who reads this), it may be because I have thyroid issues. And to explain why I require so much sleep and can sleep on a log if need be, I am anemic! And today I discovered that my progesterone levels are way too low.
So what does all this mean for me? NINE pills a day! What does this mean for my family? Watch out, because Mommy is taking a lot of hormone pills! I just want to apologize in advance for any meanness that you may encounter in the future! Hopefully, it will all be worth it and we will get our wish of another sweet little baby. Just no twins, please!

This is the Best Day Ever
Every single time Tyson is having fun he says, "This is the best day ever!". I'm sure he doesn't always mean it because he said it about four times the last time he had a stomach virus, but there are times when I actually thinks he means it! Last night was one of those times: he got to shave with Daddy! He got a Toy Story 3 shaving kit for his birthday from Aunt Shirley and Brea and he found it again last night at about 10 o'clock. So at 11 last night, he had the time of his life!
I do not think that Tyson stopped laughing from the time that they got the shaving cream on their faces until it was time for bed!
Every time James would do something, Tyson would repeat him, only with a laugh!
He told James that he loves being a big boy like Daddy and he wants to shave every day. He also told James to get it clean and tight! (lol) When they were done, he told me and James that this really was the best day ever! I believe him because instead of sleeping with just Bongo, he slept with Bongo AND his little razor! These truly are the best days ever and I would not trade all the money in the world for my boys!

Time Really Does Fly
Since my sweet little man is just about to turn five, I figure I should dedicate my first blog to him. Oh, who am I kidding, probably all of my blogs will be about Tyson! For those of you who have not seen him in a while or have missed the ten thousand pictures I have posted on Facebook, here is the little guy:
I cannot believe that he is FIVE years old! I guess what they say is true and time really does fly when you are having fun! But I'm not just having fun, I'm having a BLAST being his mommy! I hope that he always knows how much he is loved, and not just by me and James, but by everyone that knows him! I don't know what we did to deserve such a precious gift, but I'm glad we did it! (Wish us luck the next time around!)
